• Can you change the “Read More” functionality on this theme so that it will a) recognize a read more flag in the text and b) jump to that position instead of going to the top of the blog when hitting the “Read More” button.

So if there is no <– Read More tags in the text, it would display the number of words/chars as you have defined, but then jump there when the “Read More” button is hit.

Otherwise, you have to re-read until you get to where you left off.
Note that this is pretty much how it is handled in the twenty seventeen theme (which also keeps the formatting instead of just displaying the words w/o formatting).

Please let me know if this would be considered.
    Thanks!

Thank you. The logic used in twenty seventeen for their “continue reading” looks to be quite good since it allows the write to determine where the ‘continue reading’ break will occur and maintains the original formatting for the summary display. If there is no <– more tags in the blog, it looks like it will just display a certain number of words but keeps the original format.

Thanks for your consideration. Do you have a schedule for when you make your design change decisons?

    Bob
