“Read More” excerpt and link appearing twice for each post

  • So I added the “Read More” function to two of my posts, now the excerpt and link are appearing twice below each post header. I’ve deactivated plugins, tried 2016, 2017 (I am using a 2017 child theme),2018, 2019 themes and they all behave this way. Health Check says my site is good. I’ve googled exhaustively.

  • It looks like there is a columns block, which contains two Read More blocks.
    If you only have one Read More block in there, you might have discovered a bug in the column block.

    Thanks for your reply, but I only have one read more block.

    I’m having the same issue, and I too have just one read more block. Any solutions to this? Thanks.
