    I’ve used the plugin on a number of different websites and it says “read more” when there is more text than the short paragraph on the event summary page. However, on the website I’m currently working on it says […] (with no link). There is no excerpt in the event post. I saw another topic and the answer was to override templates but isn’t “read more” the default? Is there a setting I’m missing?

    The “Read More” can vary between themes and/or third-party plugins. The “short paragraph” on the event summary is an excerpt, which is a WordPress functionality.
