Read More tag

    Trying to replace the ellipsis with “Read more” or whatever. Best way to do this?

    Adding the More tag in my post does not seem to override the excerpt and cut it where I put the tag. Just seems ignored. Am I missing something?

    Adding a custom excerpt works, but does not have the ellipsis or any More indicator (as designed by WP, I know).

    I will make sure to fix the error with the more tags not working in the next update.

    For now, I would recommend using custom excerpts. With custom excerpts, you have complete control so the ellipsis can be added at the end manually. You can enter three periods or use an HTML character code for a proper ellipsis: https://www.toptal.com/designers/htmlarrows/punctuation/horizontal-ellipsis/

    Mission News doesn’t include an additional button or link to the post after the excerpt regardless of how the excerpt is defined.
