• I needed to translate a string “vendor” to “SomethingElse” in Dokan Multivendor plugin, which was very important to our website, they didn’t provide me with any real solution, just pretending to help me, by telling me what to do, and how to upload the pot files, from which most of their instructions doesn’t fit with my websites directory. Their help was not well explained in details. In the end she told me, all this help was becasue they respect their customer, which doesn’t have to do anything with respect here! It should be included in their support package becasue i have purchased one of your application, 250€. She seems unprofessional type of supporter, and be aware of their terms and conditions! She told me this “As per our support policy, we only provide support for our default functionality, customised configuration and installation”. It means that changing a “string” word from their application, is not part of their support.

  • Can’t you change the string via css ? anyway this kind of reviews keep me suspicious using Dokan, thats shame cause seems has good potential.

    Hello @zhbiruesi,

I am really sorry for this unexpected inconvenience. Our support team might be trying to help you but somehow, you did not get the point. Generally, if you need to change the string “Vendor” to any other word then you have to change the string from each file of Dokan plugin because there are many places (Almost everywhere), you have mentioned the word “Vendor”.

So, it is not easy to change the string from the plugin code unless you know the location correctly.

Our staff tried to provide an alternate solution which called “Translation Method” that means, you should just open up the POT file and then change the vendor string to your own word. After that re-name the translation file (like as en_GB). This would not translate your entire website but this will change the string without doing any code.

It is not our support fault if you are unable to do that translation method. However, I have requested our team to do the changes for you.

    Thanks!
