    Hi Yoast Team,

Is there a way to (or could I make a suggestion to allow users to) ignore “problems” flagged by Yoast or for Yoast to ignore specific types of blocks?

For example, the readability spot will not go into green because of things that cannot be changed such as:

    1.
Bullet lists that start with the same word over and over, such as describing UNAID’s 90-90-90 targets:

    – 90% of people
    – 90% of people
    – 90% of people

    2.
Transition words are great in prose or where multiple sentences are supposed to run on from one another or tell a story. Otherwise, they become a distraction.

    3.
Academic or scientific writing where passive voice is often an expectation.

    4.
Direct quotes, which shouldn’t be changed.

I saw in a previous reply from a few years ago that another user was advised that they could just ignore the readability analysis, but that is a particularly unhelpful option. It would be a very useful functionality to allow users to decide what was being assessed and what wasn’t…

  • Hi @pmhb2011 ,

We understand that you want to have the ability to get rid of the red bullets when any of the above scenarios occur on your posts. Please know that not every bullet has to be green in order to rank. It is not required to get all the bullets in green all the time as discussed in this article. But you are always welcome to submit a feature request in our Github repository.

    Hi @pmhb2011 ,

We’re closing this thread as there seem no further questions from you. Please feel free to open a new thread should you have further concerns.
