When I visit a page in my portfolio website, below the page Yoast SEO is located. Here the tab readability doesn’t give any information.

    I have checked the following:

    – Users->Your Profile->Yoast SEO settings -“Disable SEO analysis” and “Disable readability analysis” are unclicked.
    – SEO->General->Features and checking that SEO Analysis, Readability Analysis, and Insights are all set to ‘On’.
    – SEO->Search Appearance->Content Types and seeing that the Yoast SEO Meta box says “Show” for the respective content type – pages, posts, etc.

However, I can still not see the readability tab. Yesterday I logged in 10 times to my website, and once it did work. Then, on the top of the screen – there was an orange round next to the Yoast icon.

But after logging out, and logging in, it was gone (the round had become gray).

Today it is still showing a gray round and the readability tab is again not working.

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks for your advice!

    Lydia

  • Hi,

We apologize for the difficulties you are having with the plugin. We would like some more information.

    1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v13.1? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    2. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.3.2? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider.?Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.?This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    3. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

    1. Yes, it was already updated to this version a while ago.

    2. Yes – I use WP 5.3.2.

    3. Yes – i check once per week, or more often if needed, which plugins needs to be updated and which updates are needed for Avada.

The weird thing is, yesterday Yoast was not working. Today it is. I just checked it again. So it switches on and off without any apparant reason.

However, I read a lot of other complaints about Yoast not working, so is this happening because Yoast is updating its plugin?

    Hi,

We do not think it is related to an issue within the Yoast plugin such as a bug. However, we need your help as it sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:

    Please Check for conflicts.

If there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue?for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium?and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

    Hi!

    Thanks for your advice.

I just checked my site – updated Avada – and Yoast was working, like yesterday. Switched back to pages, choose another page – and it was not working again. Logged out, logged in – no yoast working.

I have checked your tool – check for conflicts. There are many steps to take!

At the moment, I am busy starting a new project, and my head is spinning – so I have to find the time to look into this tool – maybe in the next weeks.

    Hi,

We will keep this open for another week. After which we close it in order to keep the overview.

If you are still experiencing issues please reply to back to this post.
