    If you have updated to 1.2.7 and custom avatars are not showing up, go to Settings > Discussion and set Default avatar to WP First Letter Avatar.

    You can also deactivate and activate again the plugin.

    This is done automatically after installation, but not after update. Once you do it, you will never have to change it again – it will stay that way for every update. Problem is that WordPress does not offer an update hook, only activation hook, so it could have not been done automatically after update.

  • Thanks for saying that the setting had to be set to WP First Letter Avatar again. I was just about to let you know the update didn’t work but after setting that again it’s working again.
