• this is an amateur and unprofessional “business” from what appears to be South Africa.

most important. you need a yearly license for all the CC processing except SIMPLIFY COMMERCE, they are free but one small thing, they are crooks. they are playing some sort of game and i can not figure out but i know what they are doing is fraud. i couldn’t figure out because they terminated my account for no reason after the first customer transaction.

i literally installed the the API’s, a few days later had a customer do a transaction, 2 days later when i asked for my money they terminated my account. I couldn’t even access it to see if they refunded. As of today i have no proof if it was refunded to customer and why. now i have to go to the customer and explain that their secured transaction is in limbo. guess how that will make me look?

i asked woo for help and they said they could not do anything.

SIMPLIFY comes free and preinstalled inside woo so they must have a deal with them, but beware they are both running a game.

if you have a real business stick with the main players shopify and stripe or paypal. i only moved from them because i wanted to be on a wordpress platform.

the software could be the easiest thing in the world to use but if you are not getting your money, well you know. buyer beware

Did you try contacting Simplify Commerce? Yes there is a gateway in core (there is a paypal gateway too!!), but they are a separate company (Mastercard). Account/merchant problems would need to go to them obviously as Woo cannot look into accounts with other companies…

This is an open source platform with contributors worldwide.

False, there are free gateways on www.ads-software.com, there is PayPal which accepts cards, directly with a business account, or you can roll your own.

I think its a bit unfair to rate the plugin based on your experience with a payment gateway, and without doing your research first. Maybe you could look into the alternatives, and also contact Mastercard directly about your CC issue.

the PayPal Module that is in the core is the basic, if you want the PP pro business account you have to pay a lic fee. Simplify is the only fully working mod so stop the smoke and mirrors.

you are not telling the truth PayPal Pro cost $79 per year – https://www.woothemes.com/products/paypal-pro/?utm_source=product&utm_medium=upsell&utm_campaign=wcaddons

the only free CC processing on woo are the ones Woo have side deals with. The SHIPPING mods even cost a yearly lic.

If the fundamental problem with the CART is with the CC Processor that is embedded and recommended by woo not acting professional to your LIFE BLOOD YOUR CUSTOMER than what good is the cart software? Get rid of SIMPLIFY and have responsible professional relationships and woo cart might turn into something real and not for hackers and porn sites.

“This is an open source platform with contributors worldwide. ” – exactly my point and why no real business should ever trust a group of hackers that DO NOT care about MY CUSTOMER and how their actions makes me appear.

i don’t know if there is any more issues because i am not sticking around to find out. within the first week of install i ran into this major issue because what i learned in life if crap comes out in the beginning you can bet you will find more.

You’re wrong about PayPal. I take credit card payments on my own site via PayPal standard (in core) with my PAYPAL BUSINESS ACCOUNT which is free. PayPal Pro is not a requirement – its a different service from PayPal.

As for simplify, many users use them without issue, and its mastercard – I think its safe to say they are trusted… You won’t know why your account was cancelled without contacting them – you’re just speculating.

    Finally:

“This is an open source platform with contributors worldwide. ” – exactly my point and why no real business should ever trust a group of hackers

Many *real* business trust WordPress as a platform and its built by ‘hackers’ too. I’m sorry you had a bad experience with Simplify, but to be honest, you’ve just come here to vent and that is the most unprofessional thing in this thread.

    Thanks

PayPal standard is just a link to your PP account and transaction is done on paypal.com.

If you are a real business you want the transaction done on your website so you need PP pro

im not “wrong” its that you guys are praying on these people that dont know

Simplify has bad reviews everywhere do a google search and for their so called underwriters https://www.prioritypaymentsystems.com which has 28 bad reviews for this same situation on BBB

prioritypaymentsystems.com is the real processor, Simplify is just the software. I think the fraud problem is with PPS and Simplify just doesnt know how to handle customers.

And if simplify is so called part of Mastercard why do they need PPS as an underwritter to process payments?

ITs not that my account was canceled, for no reason, that is not the problem, that is just a sign that shady things are going on on their end.

It is that – read slowly here its not speculation –
1 – they accepted my application
2 – allowed my customer to process the transaction
3 – when i asked for my money, next day they terminated account
4 – they said the batch was canceled – no proof sent
4 – now im left looking like YOU guys to MY customer
    5 – crooks

i dont need to “vent”. I need other real businesses to know that they should not trust hackers. Maybe it could of saved me from these issues.

fraud on the internet is the hardest thing to trace and track down. websites pop up that make the company look professional and people need to be aware.

you don’t need to reply to MY review if you are not going to help remedy the situation. ALL you are doing is defending YOUR product with false claims.

who are you some kid that makes crappy free plug ins for WP and Woo?

All I can say for now with regards to Simplify is that it may have been related to this: https://simplify.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/1173592-prohibited-businesses We’ll look at support and see if there are other reports of the same thing happening to others and take it up with them directly if needed, but for now you’d need to talk to them to find out. As I said – the account you had was with Simplify, not WooThemes.

Going back to gateways, yes PayPal is offsite, but its still a way of capturing CC payments, and real businesses use it.

If you don’t want to invest in a premium gateway, there are literally hundreds of 3rd party ones: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search.php?q=woocommerce+credit+card Take your pick.

It’s natural for a developer to defend a product they are passionate about – especially when its a problem unrelated to the product itself, but I assure you nothing in my responses has been false. I’m sorry that you feel the need to voice your opinion in such a rude and disrespectful manner.

My business is not on that list you provided. and this is typical of a product / company defending their bad service and turning it on the customer. That prohibited list includes porn sites and gambling so you are trying to make it seem like the issue is with me and that is my type of business

Ive been processing very large amounts on and offline with PayPal and Stripe for years so its not my business type.

i take my business and customer service serious. When my customer has a problem with my product, which is rare, because i don’t make excuses and defend my product – I FIX IT!!!!!

this is the problem when you have a bunch of kids or unemployed hackers working on open source software.

its not just about the code, its also about customers and your partner venders who woo is attaching inside the core software, for their benefit so they are a part of woo.

woo is responsible for the vendors they install in their core. Get rid of them just like apple would get rid of a bad app that HURTS THEIR CUSTOMERS

    woo doesn’t care
because woo gets paid from them
    so woo defends them
and tries to make it seem like its the customers fault

this is text book crappy services stuff

Just thought I would say, I have to agree with Mike. There are options.. you are not stuck with X processor, and it is possible to use Stripe with this..

All of your complaints should be directed toward Simplify.. it has nothing to do with WooCommerce.

If you don’t like it… build it yourself. I’ve installed WooCommerce on several sites and I’ve never once thought about signing up for Simplify. That’s on you.

    @da1999

PayPal standard is just a link to your PP account and transaction is done on paypal.com.

If you are a real business you want the transaction done on your website so you need PP pro

I have a real business and am completely happy with PayPal standard. It suits my purposes just fine. I have a business account with PayPal (free) and don’t need PayPal Pro Payments.

You have made several incorrect statements in this thread, including misattributions of blame, misrepresentations of included features, and mistaken assumptions regarding open-source development and the value of this plug-in to other business owners. That does not seem very reasonable. Nor does it seem valuable to potential users who take reviews and star-ratings into account when sorting through the plethora of available WP plugins.

    Thread Starter da1999

    (@da1999)

    yea ok.

“Simplify.. it has nothing to do with WooCommerce.” – simplify is integrated into woo, they have a business relationship. sim and free paypal is the only thing offered for free. simplify is the ONLY free option to process on your website. SO simplify HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH WOO

“I have a real business and am completely happy with PayPal standard.” you might but your customers, if you care about them, do not want to process off your website. it makes you look like not serious.

assuming you guys are NOT connected to these 2 “companies” you would side with the user / business owner and realize what they did to me they could do to others.

there are better options, i am now with SHOPIFY.com, they are cheaper, use stripe to process, professional, 24/7 support (MOST IMPORTEANT!!!!!!!!!!) by English speaking people that care about their business and their customers business. they are not a group of hackers all over the planet with hidden charges to open modules, that’s not business

For real business reading this rubbish, we just made Stripe a free extension ??

    Enjoy!
