Since my other thread was marked as “resolved”…

I dunno if it’s due to the update, but the plugin is now showing me twice as many visitors in the “real-time” view compared to when I check in GA4.

It’s not correct anymore. The plugin is showing me a total of 1000 visitors, but the breakdown is (which is closer to the truth):

    Desktop: 91
    Mobile: 460
    Tablet: 2

    Hi,

From Backend Settings can you temporarily increase the Maximum number of pages to display on real-time tab to something like 50 and check if the total number is similar to the one displayed?

Just tried it, doesn’t make any difference unfortunately.

    Hi,

Try 6.0.3 and let me know how it goes. I wasn’t able to replicate it, but updated the totals count to a more reliable method.

Now real time stats is just stuck on loading for me after the update. I will try to rollback to 6.0.1. https://imgur.com/0VxKXD4

Hm, even with 6.0.1 it’s giving me the overbloated stats in real time view. I dunno what has happened. My GA4 is showing me correct stats. “Yesterday” stats seems fine when comparing to GA4.

I would strongly recommend switching back to latest 6.0.3.1, because 6.0 to 6.0.2 are fixes on authorization issues which can lead to random authorization loses. Or worst case scenario trying 5.9.x.

I have 6.0.3.1 now. Oddly, now it shows we too few visitors https://imgur.com/Vhn96Cf

That’s based on device type, so most probably who’s not on a tablet, desktop or mobile device, isn’t a real countable user.

This value is practically a sum of possible devices, which are displayed on the left of total users.

Also keep in mind that for resources consuming reason the real time on your WordPress dashboard will refresh at every 55 seconds, no matter if you reload the page or not.

But it says users 16 when GA4 says around 400-500? It shouldn’t be 16. I have never had lower than 300. Now I am confused.

@jezkerw I have the same issue like yours with fewer counts than actual one’s in GA4.

Version 6.0.2 was working fine, 6.0.3 showing 0 views and 6.0.3.1 showing fewer views.

    Thanks all for the feedback.

Since it looks like that the API is sending inconsistent data (it could be the plugin as well), we’re going to leverage total count from real-time report to JavaScript. Let me know if 6.0.3.2 fixed it.

Perfect Alin. 6.0.3.2 fixes the issue and now the live numbers are displayed corectly.

    Many thanks.
