Hi, I’m trying to set up my site to ensure it’s GDPR compliant. I’ve done a report on my site and categorised all cookies. I’ve installed the CookieBot plugin on WordPress. I’ve installed the script on Google tag manager, but not set up all those triggers as it was just too confusing.

All seems well but there’s so much information I cannot tell if it’s working correctly.

    1) Is that all I have to do to enable cookie management for necessary, marketing, preferences, statistics and unclassified cookies?
    2) Does this mean prior consent is working?
    3) Does this mean it is honouring the users cookie consent terms?
    4) Can I test this in any way?

I want to upgrade to premium but it’s too confusing right now so unless I can get some support I’ll have to search for something easier.

    Thanks!
    Charlie

    Hi @charliemariephoto,

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the delayed response.

If you are using GTM, then the triggers may be necessary if you want prior consent to work on cookie-setting script tags inside GTM.

If it’s too confusing after reading the docs, I would suggest that you reach out to a developer or one of our resellers, they would surely be able to help you.

Also, take a look at the prior consent tutorial:
