really confused on how to set this up

    I am trying to set up WP Forms but my mail isn’t going through and I understand that I need to use this plug in for the SMTP however there is one thing I don’t understand. I want to use my site admin email address which is my gmail account to send emails from the contact form to myself? Meaning when somebody submits a wpform on my site the email will be sent from my gmail account to the same gmail account? I don’t get it.

    Yes, for improved email delivery the sender’s email address should be authenticated. When a user submits a form from your site, the ‘From Email’ will be your Gmail account (the account you’ve authorized), the ‘To Address’ can be set to anyone including yourself or the person filling the form.

    In case it helps, you might want to use ‘Reply-To’ field in forms to reply to the person filling the form. This way the email will be sent from authenticated sender, but the reply to will be set to the desired email address.
