• Hi… In tuning a bunch of WP sites I decided to replace the built in wp-cron function by calling the routine in a real Unix cron job. My sites are all static and do not need this to be run more than a couple of times a day.

I used the widely documented method of inserting the disable definition in wp-config – at the end of the database definitions near the top of the file, but the wp-crons keep coming.

My real cron is working too, so actually, I have more running than before… I was thinking of just renaming wp-cron to wp-cron2 and then wp just won’t find it, but I wonder if this might break something?

Any ideas on how to stop this?

    Thanks very much!!!
