• My old review has changed…the reason – amazing response and communication from the developer – has gone above and beyond to make sure I was not missing the key benefits of the plugin. Don’t get me wrong…I still think their setup page and settings are a little over the top, but at least if you need help it’s clear that they have great support and will be there when you need them. Thanks and kudos.

Thank you for your feedback, but it’s very surprising because it goes against what almost everybody else says.

For example, you mention that it’s complicated. We’re getting lauded on how easy it is to use. Maybe we can make it even easier – could you please tell us at which point you got stuck?

Also some other points you mention – changing icon size, place it via shortcodes etc. – it’s all (easily!) possible. Maybe you didn’t give the plugin a fair chance?

HI – Thank you for your response. Yes, I did give it a chance, and while I did not get stuck it just seemed to be way more stuff and effort than is needed to get a few social icons on a website. You have an entire giant page with dropdowns, checkboxes, fields etc, and while I’m sure they all serve a fine purpose, to me it was just total overkill. IT also took too long to load the page, and you have multiple pushes for the premium version before you even show the regular one. At the end of the day, the icons looked just ok and this was too much work for me for a couple of icons. I’m sure it’s great for people that have a site where they are looking for social media likes and want that stuff all over the site, but that’s me.

It’s fine if you don’t need all the other features, the key question is: did the fact that our plugin offers a lot of features hinder you with placing only the simple icons? It’s a matter of answering just three questions – which icons, what they shall do, and where they shall show up – so it should be quick in any case. If you tell us at which point it took you long, we may further optimize it so that it’s even quicker.

@socialdude – Thanks again for your response. Your responses to my review and your concern is really fantastic and I have changed my review, and am going to give the plugin another shot. With all the developers these days that have no concern over their product it is really encouraging to talk to you – thank you, and I’ll let you know how it goes.
    Best Regards
