Really frustrating

I’m new to this lark, but this widget is typical of a lot I’ve seen since starting. The first thing is the WordPress gallery widget is very basic which lets in a load of 3rd party widget developers. They have a great widget with loads of functionality but 50% of the useful stuff is disabled, and they just give you a component that’s just slightly better than the basic WordPress version, which is very frustrating. Displaying mosaics, lightboxes and slideshows should be basic stuff and it isn’t.
