For some reason Really Simple SSL is no longer working on my multi-user site. When I go to click on the ‘Activate SSL’ button, I get the following error. Please help remedy this. Thank you.

Fatal error: Call to a member function flush_rules() on null in /home/startermyinterne/public_html/wp-includes/rewrite.php on line 273

    Hi Peter,

the flush rewrite rules error can occur when a plugin/theme is flushing the rewrite rules at the same time as Really Simple SSL. Plugins should only flush the rewrite rules on their own actions, not by other plugins. Usually this error will disappear when you try to activate SSL for a second time. If this doesn’t help, I’d suggest to temporarily disable other plugins to see which one is conflicting with the Really Simple SSL rewrite flush.

    Hi Mark,
thanks for the advice. After several three or four attempts, the Really Simple activated. Interesting point about the rewrite rules. I’ll have to look into that when time permits.

    Thanks for the advice, Peter
