    Many have reported similar issues.
I have a valid SSL certificate through my hosting provider (Loopia).
But suddenly the encryption on my website failed, and the Really Simple SSL plugin now requires a new certificate.
I can’t however just install the cert manually, as I could when I initally installed the plugin. Now I have to go through a wizard and it fails half way.
I considered removing and reinstalling the plugin, is this the way to go?

    Hi @fireflow,

what error do you see exactly in the wizard? Instead of removing the plugin, you could try to add &reset-letsencrypt behind the URL in the Really Simple SSL Let’s Encrypt wizard, that will reset the wizard and should allow you to continue.

@fireflow please note that the expiration of your previously installed SSL certificate is not related to Really Simple SSL. If you had an active SSL certificate, and it should have renewed automatically, you should contact your hosting provider about this.

Since Really Simple SSL 5.0 the plugin provides an alternative option: you can generate a certificate from within the plugin.

You can now choose if you want to continue using your host’s SSL certificate, in that case you’ll need to contact your hosting provider. Or you can choose to generate it from the plugin. In that case we’ll need some info on the issue you are experiencing, and we can help you resolve it.
