Hi. I installed the Really Simple Twitter feed on a client’s website about a month ago and as far as I know it has been working fine up to now. However if I visit the site as a casual visitor it is now showing yesterday’s tweets (apparently posted 1 minute ago). If I log in to the control panel and then visit the site it shows the current tweets. As soon as I log out again it reverts to yesterday’s tweets. I have tried deleting the browser cache but this has no effect. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi, you can try to delete the widget cache and see what happens. To do so, enable the “Erase cached data” widget option, then load the frontend site. If everything is good, disable the “Erase cached data” option and reload the frontend.

Hi. Thanks for the really quick response and advice but I had already tried that. Separately and together with the Erase cached data I also tried the UTF8 Encode (as I didn’t know what it did!) but that also had no effect. I have also double checked the API keys etc and clicked on Recreate my access token (which it said it had done, but the Access token and Access token secret didn’t change).

After I posted this the feed did update. However it’s now a few days later, I have just checked the website and it is now stuck on tweets from 22 hours ago but saying they are 12 minutes ago.
I found this post on the Twitter Widget Pro – could this be the same issue? If so I will take it up with my hosting service.
    Thanks.

Hi Fionder, it should have been a glitch of the Twitter servers, everything is fine at the moment. Is it fixed in your website too?

    Hi whiletrue
No! I’ve just checked again and it is currently showing a tweet from about 24 hours ago and my client has posted a number of tweets since then, the last one being about 15 minutes ago. It seems to update some of the time but not all of the time. Website is https://www.carolematthews.com if you want to check it out.

Unfortunately the feed has continued to only update every 2-3 days and with apparently no solution to this problem I have had to remove the widget and use the one provided by Twitter.

Having similar issues here as well.

Hi all, today we released the 2.3.1 plugin release, with updated Codebird (Twitter API library) code. Please update it and tell us if the issue is solved!

Still happening. Latest release. Please keep working on this.
