    Hi, Lopo.

    Congratulations for a great plugin!
I was just wondering if there is any way to clone/move the comments from the original post to the cloned one. It seems to be the only information that I can’t see copied from one post to another and would be great to make sure they are not lost if following a workflow like mine: I first clone the article, then fix old slug and update new one to match the original one, then publish clone and finally delete the original post.

Comments could also be (optionally) copied from original to the cloned post, and slug updated on publishing (just an idea, since the clone could have a reference to know which post was its “father”). This would allow to schedule updated clones to “take over” the original parents, which would be really cool.

Again, these are just suggestions for improvements. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!

    Regards,
    Hector

    Hi!
Thanks for your compliments and appreciation.
I’ve already added (optional) comment cloning in the upcoming version, which I hope to release soon.

Regarding the slug in your scenario, the switch would have to be made when the scheduled clone become published, so you’d need to use an action on a transition hook. It wouldn’t need too much code, but remember that the comments would be those present when cloning, not at the moment of the substitution…
