reCAPCHA V3

  • Hi there, I appreciate moving forward and upgrading to reCAPCHA V3, but I have also issue with this solution:
    1. reCAPCHA badge on every page breaks visual layout of the page, I would like to have choice to use “reCHAPCHA V2 – Checkbox” to get rid of the badge
    2. On one website I can’t submit CF7 forms with reCAPCHA V3 anymore, I get always in the CF7 JSON response, that message is spam. There is no any other option how to submit forms, just the error message. It is critical limitation of usability. Removing reCAPCHA keys makes the forms works again.

  • The latest version is a bit of a shambles. Don’t know why he removed all V2 keys and forced people onto V3 which doesn’t seem to be implemented correctly.

    Until the author updates to fix the plugin you can download a previous version here:

    Just scroll to the bottom and use the dropdown menu to select the last version.

    If you ever need to do this with other plugins, go to the main download page for any plugin and on the right hand side there’s an option ‘Advanced View’ just above the ratings.

    good to know where to find older version of the plugin.

    I’ll consider downgrading of the plugin and then hold it in the last usable version, it is probably the best solution for now.

    Hope there will be soon some better option :).

    OK, so I rolled back to 5.05 due to this issue and I recreated V2 keys. However, I have no recaptcha box on there still. Do you see it after rolling back?

    I rolled back on localhost, and v2 is working.

    The same result for me, I rolled back and Recaptcha V2 is working again.

    To keep setting, it is necessary to empty file /wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/uninstall.php before deleting current version of the plugin.
