Recaptcha doesn’t work

  • When I add site and secret key in recaptcha integration, my contact form stops working. Get error message: “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” with the orange border. Recaptcha badge isn’t displayed and after checking DOM I can’t find anywhere that recaptcha has been added to website. It’s not the first website I use with contact form 7 + recaptcha, but it’s the only one I can’t get it working. I don’t have any other plugin activated.

  • Recaptcha badge isn’t displayed

    If the reCAPTCHA badge is not showing, this shows that reCAPTCHA v3 is not working on your site.

    Check your reCAPTCHA v3 settings.

    One commonly reported mistake is including www or https:// in the domain name.

    Is it possible that there is an issue if there is google map on the same page? On other websites, I don’t use google maps and recaptcha works fine.

    Definitely – any JavaScript error that stops CF7’s JavaScript from running can stop reCAPTCHA v3 from running correctly on your site.
