    The recaptcha box suddenly stopped showing on the staging site but was working on the live site. Answer: deactivate cookiebot plugin. Hey presto, captcha reappeared. Phew! So, if you are working with a staging site, remember to actually deactivate Cookiebot if your g-captcha doesn’t display.

    You’re welcome! There was nothing online about this. Hope to save others my pain. Tool is otherwise great but was really stumped for a while as to why the previously working recaptcha box suddenly disappeared.
