  • Same issue. If recaptcha is not entered, no error message is displayed but comment is directly sent to span.

I see the same problem in my site.

guys I solved the spam problem using just Akismet without WP recaptcha, it’s enough.

Pretty bad that the behaviour of the plugin has changed to allow the submission of the comment and then making it go into the spam queue.

Without any client-side validation or server-side validation of the entered reCAPTCHA answer and showing any error messages, this is going to result in more hits to the server side and will end up storing stuff in the database. Easy to bruteforce a lot of comments and make the database overflow! ?? Sad to see no reply from the plugin author.

guys i’m new in wordpress..i just don’t get this kind of problem in wordpress: this is the most downloaded recaptcha plugin and no one noticed this huge issue before us? how is that even possible?

I performed the update for WordPress a few weeks ago and received this message:
ERROR: Invalid domain for site key

    What do I do?

Users are not able to submit messages or register for classes because of this error message.

I am having same problem. if you ignore the recaptcha you can still submit the form.
