When I try to log in to my WordPress site, I type my username and password and select I am not a robot. I get the green check mark, but nothing pops up (usually it’s an image selector). When I click sign in, it says I’ve entered the wrong captcha. There were a few times the image selector did show, but even correctly selecting everything still showed the “wrong captcha” error.

Yesterday, it completely locked me out of my site. Dreamhost worked to unblock me but the captcha still isn’t working. When I try to reset my password I get the same error. They said it’s probably a WordPress issue. I looked through other recaptcha posts but most of them say to change the settings in my dashboard, but I can’t access my dashboard.

Full disclosure: I am not very skilled in code or FTP, but I’m willing to give it a shot if it means getting back into my site. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

@audreyanne I took a look at your site and I don’t see this plugin installed. You have google-captcha installed.

Me too, since the update my user can’t login with Woocommerce from the my-account page

Ok, you diseable free login with Woocommerce!!!!!!!!.
This is not fair at all.
I will use another login captcha plugin… this is really cheap

I find out a solution
Use: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-rollback/
Install Recaptcha version 3.1
Never update Recaptcha again.

And if it’s stop working.
Install a new plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-google-recaptcha/

Just insert it in a add_filter content function.
