Thank you very much for this great plugin, I use it on all my wordpress sites.

Now I’ve noticed that after updating to version 5.9.7 de reCaptcha no longer works and I get the following error every time I send a form: reCaptcha response token is empty.

I have now downgraded to version 5.9.3 and everything is working as usual again. Comparing version 5.9.5 and 5.9.6, I have seen that something has been adjusted to the reCaptcha: https://github.com/rocklobster-in/contact-form-7/compare/v5.9.5…v5.9.6

Is there a setting adjustment or similar needed for the new version? I could not find the cause of the problem.

    Many thanks and best regards
    Roman

Where on the site do you have the form having the issue?

    For example here: https://tvbelp.ch/video-test/

That you can reproduce the error I made the update to 5.9.7 again. So you will see the error message.

    Thank you

Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, Flamingo, Really Simple CAPTCHA and Yoast SEO, and clearing all cache data.

Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

I did like you said and deactivated everything. And aso you allready assumed, it worked perfectly. After that I startet to activated the theme and the plugins one after the other. The theme was not the problem. As soon I activated the Autoptimize Plugin I got the error. So I’ll probably just leave it deactivated, it’s not a super critical plugin. As soon as a new version is available, I’ll try to activate it again.

re. Autoptimize; first and foremost try to identify what is breaking things by just disabling CSS or JS or HTML or Image optimization (incl. lazyload). Based on that we can see what the next steps need to be ??
