Recaptcha shortcode tag not available?

  • I have two websites that recaptcha has stopped working on. the tag [recaptcha] is displaying instead and when I edit the contact form the recaptcha shortcode generator is missing ? any ideas?

  • We are also having this issue. We upgraded the key to v3 as was requested on the last update and now the [recaptcha] doesn’t create a form element and we are already receiving spam.

    Furthermore, every page has errors now (in Safari) …

    ALso, it doesn’t seem to be a consistant issue. Works fine on another site with 5.1

    Hi, I realise that WP 5 is a major change for everyone, but we do all rely on your marvellous plugin. So we need it to work. Please remove the requirement for recaptcha V3 integration as a matter of urgency, this just creates a load of unnecessary work for everybody, let us continue using V2 please. And get the plugin working again – I have had to revert WP and CF7 on several sites already, just in order to get CF7 working. Appreciate your help.

    OK. After finally reading the documentation (bit late I know). I realized that v3 of recaptcha is invisible and there are no longer a checkboxe on the contact forms and therefore no need to enter an recatcha tag. Can you confirm that that is correct. If so then there is nothing wrong with my forms. Thanks

    Yes, it is invisible but that doesn’t explain the sudden surge of spam and the errors in the console log (see my earlier post). I’m pretty sure that v3 isn’t working. Visible or otherwise.

    It is invisible, but there is no indication or validation that it’s working.

    Yesterday I received a piece of SPAM. Today I updated to v3. I went to the form and duplicated the SPAM. It was delivered.

    I too, am pretty sure that v3 isn’t working, visible or otherwise.
