reCaptcha v3 refuses to send email

Hi,
I added the v3 integration with Contact Form 7 last week and the forms on the website produced an error message with a red box around it stating: “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method”
So I deleted the integration with reCaptcha v3 and Contact Form 7 and now the forms send messages with no issue – but the spam is also back.
This is the only change that has been made to the website and it was just last week.
Is there a way to have v3 work with Contact Form 7 successfully?
Or should I try integrating it with v2 instead?Theme and plugins currently installed are:

reCaptcha by BestWebSoft (This is the free version and the client uses it for the login page – it is not applied to the Contact Form 7 forms because that requires the Pro version. I did install the same v3 keys on this plugin.)
UpdraftPlus
Wordfence
When I deactivate the other plugins and theme while v3 is installed the forms still refuse to send.
It’s only when I deactivate the v3 integration with Contact Form 7 itself that the Forms will send.
I haven’t had this issue before with v3 so any insight you can offer would be appreciated.
