  • See the step by step instructions at reCAPTCHA v3 to understand how reCAPTCHA v3 works (it works in the background) & how to set it up correctly in CF7.

    I already followed these steps but it doesn’t helped to solve the issue.If you check contact form 7 Topics Page you will see that alot of people are having the same issue of recaptcha.

    The error included in your original post shows that reCAPTCHA v3 is not setup correctly on your site.

    I’m using ReCAPTCHA v3 with CF7 on several sites without problems. If it’s not working for you it’s likely that there is some issue with your particular reCAPTCHA v3 setup.

    If you’ve registered correctly for reCAPTCHA v3 (by following the instructions at reCAPTCHA v3) & it’s working, you should now see the reCAPTCHA Privacy badge displayed at the bottom of every page on your site (not just the pages where you’ve got CF7 forms).

    If the reCAPTCHA badge is not showing, this shows that reCAPTCHA v3 is not working on your site.

    P.S. CF7 has 5+ million users – it’s common for hundreds of people to experience similar issues each day due to problems in their individual sites.

    I had this issue after following the guide and think the clear “note” needs adding;

    For ‘Domains’ section on the Google reCAPTCHA admin area.

    ALLOWED: skysports.com

    NOT ALLOWED: https://www.skysports.com

    By having https:// or even www. in front causes it to error.

    Hope that solves a lot of problems.

    The error is resolved now but I am using this [recaptcha] in my contact form 7 to show recaptcha on my site but its still not working.What did you used to show the recaptcha ??

    If you are using Recaptcha V2 you just need [recaptcha].

    If you are using Recaptcha V3, then it’s hidden automatically and runs in the background.

    I am using recaptcha version 3..

    Does it means that i don’t have to write [recaptcha] in my form ??

    Nope, you don’t need it in V3 – I think the guide said it is removed automatically once it know’s your are running V3
