    Hi @wfpeter,

i have reCAPTCHA active on contact form7 like which displays the reCAPTCHA v3 badge on the bottom right of all a pages.

By default reCAPTCHA’s script file is loaded on every page. So is there any need to add the reCAPTCHA v3 keys to the wordfence reCAPTCHA settings page as we are already using a plug-in e.g. contact form7 that allows reCAPTCHA?

I believe before the update the reCAPTCHA settings was disabled because wordfence recognised we already used another plug-in using the reCAPTCHA v3

furthermore is there any security benefit in using wordfence reCAPTCHA rather than another plugin that allows reCAPTCHA?

    Kind Regards
    Jon

Hi @jon0005, thanks for your enquiry about this.

I just wanted to test this with the same plugin combination myself on a test site before giving a definitive answer. Wordfence will only activate reCAPTCHA for login and registration pages if the v3 keys have been specified in the Login Security > Settings page, and will not pull the details from another plugin.

We do have discussion channels to weigh up the strength/feasibility of a feature suggested by our customers, so I would be happy to see if it is possible to check for a preexisting script on the login/registration pages so that duplicate credentials are not required.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
