After a recent plugin update, the site was returning errors, which was only resolved by temporarily removing the “The Events Calendar” folder within plugins. It appears to be some sort of conflict between The Events Calendar (4.4.4) and The Events Calendar Pro (2.0.11). Does anyone have any advice on how to resolve this?

    Thanks

    The full error is below:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tribe_get_single_ical_link() (previously declared in /home/mtu/webapps/prod/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/functions/template-tags/ical.php:13) in /home/mtu/webapps/prod/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/template-tags.php on line 144

  • Hi @aslominski,

Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! The features of Events Calendar PRO build upon the core code that’s present in The Events Calendar, meaning that version number mismatches can easily manifest errors and undesired behaviors. I’d suggest either updating Events Calendar PRO to the latest version or deactivating it, as it may not be possible to downgrade The Events Calendar to a matching version while retaining your events.

I hope that helps! Thanks, and let us know if you should have any other questions!
