Receiving email but it doesn’t show the password or password reset link.

  • So it seems people are able to receive the email for signing up but in the email it will have your default message like:

    Username: test To set your password, visit the following address: https://comptonjapan.com/wp-login.php

    When you click on that link it will obviously take you to a login link and that’s it. I’ve been searching online on how to resolve this but a lot of what I’m coming across is people not receiving an email at all. In my case I’m getting the email but not a password or a link that takes you to the password. It’s the same thing with resetting your password. You’ll get the email but not a link to reset the password.

    I tried to register to your site with my email and then I did reset my password through the “Lost your password” link. I entered my email address (GMail), once I hit the “Get New Password” button, I immediately got a reset password email. The reset password link is working fine to me.

    Perhaps your email service system striped some parts of a link? Have you tried with your GMail account?

    So I tried it with a gmail email and it went to my spam folder, then it went into promotions after that. Either way, both times it didn’t have the complete url like you got. Tried it again today without changing anything and I seemed to have gotten it. Tried it on a bunch of temporary emails yesterday and it didn’t work, someone else tried it again today and it seemed to work on the temporary one as well. Works now I guess, but not sure what happened since I didn’t really change anything.
