So I just got an “appears to be offline or unresponsive” email from Jetpack for a blog I killed off months ago now. It literally doesn’t exist anywhere in any WordPress or Jetpack accounts or settings I can access.

    How to resolve?

If you didn’t disconnect Jetpack and/or disable the Jetpack Monitor prior to taking down the site, you will still receive these messages as the system on our end doesn’t know the difference between a site being down due to hosting problems or if it’s down because you choose to take it down.

If you did not disconnect, I will need to make some changes on our end to stop the notices. If you can let me know what the reference number is in these emails – would look like 12345678/intermittent or something similar – we can get that turned off for you.

Let me know if you have any questions. Otherwise, I’ll wait to hear back from you!

Alas, I’ve no idea at this point what I remembered to disable/disconnect and what I didn’t.

@bixfrankonis Thanks for the reference number! I was able to track down the site from our side. I’ve disabled Jetpack Monitor, so you will no longer receive the downtime notifications for that site.

You should be all set now, but please do let us know if you experience any further trouble ??
