How Do I Add Recent Articles in Mimbo Theme?

    I am using the latest mimbo theme and I want to tweak it a bit. I’m new to WP and PHP, so please bear with me!

    Here goes…

    Have a look at the image at this link to get an idea of what the Mimbo Theme looks like:

    2. Lets assume I’m working with the “GADGETS” heading.The text you see under GADGETS is from the most recent post.

    3. I want to add a bullet list below that most recent post that pulls from the database the 5 most recent articles in the GADGETS category that were posted prior to the current one (as recent articles).

    How do I do this?
