We have used your plugin successfully in past, but our recent MailChimp digest pointed out that our feed RSS is no longer formatted correctly, duplicating the image and eliminating text. For a correctly formatted MailChimp RSS campaign, see here, and for today’s incorrectly formatted campaign, see here. I have traced this down to the actual feed (vs. anything in MailChimp), and upon deactivating your plugin the feed looks more normal. We have not updated the (Genesis child) theme nor altered settings; we don’t see any obvious conflicting plugin updates we’ve done recently, but that may be the culprit. If you could help us further diagnose, we’d sure appreciate.

    Regards,

There is another plugin (or function, at least) adding an image to your RSS feed, and possibly doing further modifications. One difference I see in the latest post is that it looks like that extra image is coming through from Photon, which Send Images to RSS will bypass.

I do see that you’re using this plugin on your site as well. I’m not familiar with it, but the description does say this:

“By activating this plugin, your cover picture will be inserted into your RSS feeds. By doing so, you’ll make it will easier for external sites to retrieve images from your feeds.”

I would guess that this is the other plugin involved in the conflict–my guess is that you can use that RSS plugin, or this one, but not both, since they make similar modifications.

    Hope this helps you diagnose–

Yes, thank you!…I indeed have now traced the problem to the Feedzy Lite RSS plugin, which we were using for a different purpose. I’ve deactivated the plugin, which I believe will take care of the problem.
