    Hello again,

AFter updating to 4.0.2 we see no data on Recent Downloads and Outbound Links on the “Site Analysis” screen. I’ve set the filtering to include “this year so far” and….nothing. I know that’s not correct because we had downloads (pdf’s) and outbound links before.

    Are we doing something wrong?

    Hi,

those two reports are being updated as well, to be compatible with the new table structure.

Thanks for the reply. So there will be another update to slimstat?

Yes, expect a new release in about two weeks or so. Or contact us if you want to test the new functionality ??

Ok, so until then “Recent Downloads” and “Outbound Links” will show no data on the “Site Analysis” screen?

    Correct.

Sorry to continue, but that data was crucial to our campaign and 2 weeks means we will lose a lot of information. Is the data still being collected and stored in a database and just not being shown? Will the data from the next 2 weeks still be collected and shown when the plugin is updated?

Finally, it is possible to go back to a previous version of slimstat before 4.0?

    Plugin Author Jason Crouse

    (@coolmann)

The data is being collected, no worries. It’s just not being displayed. We wanted our users to be able to take advantage of the performance improvements introduced by 4.0 as soon as possible, so we decided to use an incremental approach and release it without those two reports.

Actually you will soon find new reports that differentiate between outbound links and downloads, thus giving you access to even more granular information about your visitors. Slimstat 4.0 also introduces a much improved event tracking system, which will allow us and our users to track every single action performed by your visitors.

Implementing these new features takes time. Please contact our support team if you want to test the preview release without waiting for the official one.

    Best,

Sounds cool, but we need that data now as we just launched a lead-generation campaign for our client and they are expecting results!

So can we delete the plugin and install 3.9.9? Will that work? We already cataloged all previous data so we are not concerned with past data. We just need new outbound links and downloads to show up.

If you don’t want to lose your data, you can:

    • make a backup of your wp_slim_* tables
    • rename wp_slim_stats to wp_slims_stats_4
    • rename wp_slim_stats_3 to wp_slim_stats
    • rename wp_slim_stats_archive to wp_slim_stats_archive_4
    • rename wp_slim_stats_archive_3 to wp_slim_stats_archive
    • delete the folder wp-slimstat under /wp-content/plugins/ (DO NOT UNINSTALL the plugin, just delete the folder via FTP)
    • upload 3.9.9 via FTP

Alternatively, you can UNINSTALL the plugin via your dashboard, which will delete all the tables, and then install 3.9.9 from scratch.

    It worked. Thanks!

    Nice, thanks!

I just installed your plugin and it looks fine, for one thing ??

I installed to keep track of outbound links clicking andexcactly that part doesn’t show data.
The post from which i clicked the outbound links shows in Recent posts, but the link itself doesn’t show in Recent outbound links.

    I installed version 4.1.3.2

    Tracking outbound links is activated.

IS there a dealy in showing it?
