I have recently cleared the cache of my feed to fix a “thumbnail not available issue” but upon doing so after the re-import of the feed I am missing all the post from the past 7 weeks or so. I tried multiple time to re-import and it seems that all post prior to those 7 weeks or so are here but I would like to display the most recent post on my home page not some quite old post.

For testing I also tried another Insta feed wp plugin and the same problem arise. Any idea of what could cause this issue and ideally how to fix it?

    Hi @mugiwawa

This issue could happen due to connectivity issues or when an access token has expired. Could you please try reconnecting your Instagram account?

If the problem persists, please?download the error logs?by navigating to Instagram Feeds > Settings > Tools. On this page, click on “Download Logs” under Error Logs section and send them to us. This will provide us with a better understanding of the issue you’re facing.

    Thanks for the answer!

I already tried to reconnect my Instagram account and no change still the same post that are displayed.

The error log says “All systems operational! The error log is empty.”

Since I tried with another insta feed plugin and the result is the same, I would say it is not a specific plugin issue but maybe how the feed is send from insta, maybe there is some specific options that I need to activate, or maybe since it is at a precise date some parameters that changed. Hoping since you probably are more versed than me into how those all insta feed operate you can direct me towards a beginning of solution.

    Hi @mugiwawa

The fact that a different plugin exhibits the same symptoms indicates that this may potentially be an API issue.

To help us investigate it further, I’d appreciate it if you could answer the following questions:

    • Is your Instagram account a personal account or a business account?
    • Is your account set up in Spotlight to match that type? For example, is it connected as a business account if it’s indeed a business account?
    • Do you promote any of your posts using Instagram’s paid promotion?

Your answers will help us understand what’s happening and how to fix it. Thank you!

    It is a personal account.

It has been setup this way through the spotlight plugin.

Some of the post have been promoted through the Instagram’s paid promotion.

Hope this helps, as usual thanks for your help.

    Hi @mugiwawa

Thank you for answering the questions! Promoted posts are not made available by Instagram for Personal accounts, it’s due to Instagram API limitation.

To fix this, you need to switch to an Instagram Business account. We have instructions on how to do that in our documentation here.

Once you switch to a business account, you can continue to connect your Instagram Business account with Spotlight.

I hope it helps. Please let me know how that goes.
