Recent Posts Block (Category selection)

    Hi

    I am using Recent Posts block, I have created a category for items to appear on HomePage, select this category in the block editor section of the block, but it continues to show all categories regardless. If I publish and preview it still has all category items showing (including Uncategorized), Not quite sure if this is a bug as can not seen any other way that this should work. Maybe looking forward a tick list of categories may be better to allow more than one and/or Uncategorized items.

    Hi @cliffo4,
    I’ve tested the Recent Posts block by Getwid and could not replicate the issue. It filtered the posts by certain category correctly. I used 1.6.3 version to test it. Could you update the plugin and share the link to your site where we can take a closer look at Recent Posts block?

    Thanks for that – its on a duplicate copy of a live site on my local machine. It is using 1.6.3. Is there some other way of diagnosing whats being read or the query to get the data?

    Hi @cliffo4,
    Could you provide screenshot(s) of the Recent Block settings?
    You may try disabling third-party plugins to see if there is one that causes an issue.
