Recent Posts not showing most recent post

  • Hello! I am using the Fukasawa theme as a portfolio site. All of my projects are “posts.” You can see them listed as a portfolio on my homepage, but I also like to have them linked in the sidebar so that when someone is on a project page, they can see links to other projects. I use the Recent Posts widget for this. My only issue is that it doesn’t show the most recent post (aka project), which really bugs me. I tried several of the Recent Post plugins, but the issue with those is they don’t take the beautiful styles from my theme, which I have also written custom CSS for. Can anyone suggest an easy fix for this? Is there a small bit of code I could alter to make my most recent post show in recent posts?

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    If the above steps do not help identify the problem, then I recommend asking at https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/fukasawa so the theme’s developers and support community can help you with this.

    Thank you! Would doing this erase my customizations and custom CSS?
