I have an interesting problem. All of a sudden after three years or so, the “Recent Posts” widget in the sidebar stopped working. Posts do not show up on the home page after being published.

I checked with our host who cleared the cache, and I cleared the browser cache and checked with two other browsers, still not showing up.

I also checked with the theme developer, and they don’t think it is theme related.

As a side note, the “Category Posts” widget is still working. I have not installed any new plugins in a long while. The posts from February 17 and March 13 have not appeared in the Recent Posts area, but one that I posted in Category Post on March 8 showed up on the home page. This problem occurred ‘before’ the last two WordPress updates of February 24, 2019 and March 12, 2019.

As another side note, I received an email when the last post was published at 4:47pm, but the email telling me how many subscribers had received it came very late, at 7:34pm and the Subject Line said: “Campaign Sent!”. That’s a new title, I’ve never seen before.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Inexplicably, the Recent Posts feature worked today, but I’m not sure how. I had used another category (Updates), not the one meant to post to the home page (Announcements). ????

However, the emails have not been sent to subscribers nor the count of emails sent to us.

I also discovered the Campaign Sent email came from the Email Subscriber & Newsletter plugin. we stopped using it to sign people up because of spam, but we still have those subscribers.

Perhaps, the two programs are conflicting, Jetpack and Email Subscribers, although they worked together before?

I am going to withdraw this request for help because I’m doing more independent research into the situation. I deactivated Jetpack and re-activated, and things ‘seem’ to be working fine for now. I need to watch this for a while longer.
