I’m sorry to hear you’ve run into issues.
If you’re willing to give Jetpack another try, could you try to update to the most recent version of the plugin? We’ve just released Jetpack 8.6.1 to address issues with yesterday’s update.
Let me know how it goes!
@jeherve my site hasn’t worked since I updated jetpack yesterday but I can’t even get to admin area to uninstal it. How do I repair it?
@kevsbrew It’s hard to say what’s wrong without knowing more, but you could try the following:
1. Log in to your site via FTP or CPanel, delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder, and then reinstall the plugin from the Plugins menu that you should be able to access again.
You’ll find the Jetpack plugin folder here:
wp-content plugins jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDER
If you’re not sure how to do this, you can ask your hosting company for help. They should also have documentation explaining how to edit or remove files from your site using FTP or a File Manager in your admin panel.
2. If you keep experiencing issues as soon as you install Jetpack again, try enabling
WP_DEBUG
to find out more about what’s causing the issue, as explained here:

@jeherve tried what you said. enabled debug and get this [03-Jun-2020 12:37:57 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 65536 bytes) in /home/kevin3477/public_html/wp-admin/includes/theme.php on line 937

It’s interesting that this seems linked to something happening with your theme. I am not sure why it would have started happening with this release. Could you let me know what theme you’re currently using, so we can take a closer look?
Thank you!
@jeherve I think the issue is with the newest jetpack 8.6.1 I went into my files manager and renamed the plugin folder (which disabled all plugins) I then got back on my site (which worked) and activated all the plugins one by one and as soon as I activated the jetpack the site went down again right away.
also when I activate elimentor it too crashes the site exactly the same way!
I have wp-rollback but nothing comes up to roll jetpack back with.-

8.6.1 is the problem. It is breaking the theme. deactivate jetpack and all is good. Before 8.6.1 I had no issues. I’m using the Martfury Theme.
@fabekid Thanks. Using GridWP theme. Elimentor also crashes the site the same way since it’s new update and again, nothing comes up to roll back to.
Will leave them both deactivated until a newer version comes out or I can find a way to an older version back in.I deleted the plugin.
I can’t test with the Martfury Theme since that’s a Premium theme, but I was able to install the GridWP theme; I didn’t run into any issues though.
I also installed the Elementor plugin, but that doesn’t seem to create any issues either. @fabekid Do you also use Elementor?
If you delete both plugins and reinstall them from scratch (not via the WP Rollback plugin), do you still experience issues?
I do use elementor and it too just had an update, but I have not experienced any issue with elementor. I will reinstall jetpack and report back.
Just reinstall… the same issue. once jetpack is active it broke the site. deactivate and the site goes back to normal. I did a request for a refund because my backup purchase was still within the refund window. Now uninstall.
@fabekid If you’re willing to make more tests, do you think you could enable
WP_DEBUG
to try to find out more about what’s causing the errors, as explained here:
