Recent update REMOVES permissions for some capabilities!

    What I’m reading here does not look too good. I updated Members to the most recent version and those with Administrator permissions LOST capabilities for the following plugins.

    Gravity Forms (lost all capabilities)
    Yoast SEO (lost some capabilities)
    TablePress (No checkboxes selected at all, but admins still have capabilities)
    Blocks (Again, no “Grant” boxes checked but I think they still have capabilities)

    The issue I ran into was for Gravity Forms. Saw “Forms” but could not access any sub-menus. Started deactivating plugins and once Members was deactivated, the access came back. Checked the permissions for Gravity Forms and sure enough, all of them were unchecked. Again, this was for an Admin account who has access to everything.

    Then I started checking everything and there were other plugins with nothing checked off (TablePress) but when I checked, Admins DID have access to TablePress. Makes no sense, something is messed up.

  • It seems that I have the same problem – I cannot adress some plugins in the backend. I don’t know how you can check the permissions for a special plugin explicit? I don’t find where I can set such permissions… ??
