• This used to be a very lean and useful plugin.

Due to a new owner or changes in the business model the plugin devs made some rather unfortunate decisions.

Unnecessary premium subscription. Bloated with ads for their premium service. Top-level menu entry with an ugly icon. Unnecessary updates every other day. The list goes on and on.

Time to move on and switch to another solution…

Hi Vendojo, thank you for taking the time to give us this feedback. For several years we offered this plugin for free, and spent countless development and support resources to help businesses fight back against brute force attacks. You are correct that we have been updating more frequently, but your claim of “every other day” or being “bloated” is not accurate. Several of the updates include new features (both free and premium), refactoring, and tests such as our most recent one that verified a compatibility issue with Wordfence and Sucuri. You might not feel our premium service is necessary for your website, but several of our users specifically asked for these features. Now that we have more developers on staff, it’s only fair for us to put some ads in the plugin to generate revenue and be compensated fairly. The free version will never go away, and it works very well. We are glad you use it and we will be sure to share your comments with our team.
