Recently Viewed Cookie causing cache bypass – how to disable

I understand that you would like to remove the woocommerce_recently_viewed cookie, is this correct?

You can try the following and see if this works for you:

unset($_COOKIE['woocommerce_recently_viewed']);

You need to add the code to your child theme’s?functions.php?file or via a plugin that allows custom functions to be added, such as the?Code snippets?plugin.

Please don’t add custom code directly to your parent theme’s functions.php file as this will be wiped entirely when you update the theme.

I added it to the functions.php of child theme but still there

It’s for the Recently View items widget, I’m not sure what you mean by “Safe” but blocking/removing the cookie will stop the widget from working.

As for unsetting cookies, seems like you need to add a time parameter as mentioned in this thread.
