    Hey everyone,

Ever since I enabled caching on Siteground, my site has been super fast, but I lost my Recently Viewed product icons. It went bananas! I had to remove the widget until I figured out the problem. I added a screenshot to see the issue: here. If you need to reactivate the plugin for you to see it go crazy, let me know. It’s so even doing thumbnail sizes…

I did try using No Cache AJAX Widgetson by adding it to the side bar, (may be I did wrong, IDK) but it didn’t work.

    thanks a bunch,

    Sonia ??

    Hi @soniamcangel,

The No Cache AJAX Widgets plugin you tried is a good idea, but perhaps it wasn’t implemented correctly.

    Here’s what I suggest:

    1. Ensure that the plugin is correctly installed and activated.
    2. Try adding the Recently Viewed products widget into the No Cache AJAX Widgets area instead of the regular sidebar.

If that doesn’t do the trick, you may need to configure Siteground’s caching settings to exclude the specific pages where your “Recently Viewed products” widget is displayed.

I also recommend reaching out to Siteground support. They can offer additional insights about their cache settings.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi again, I did have some time to focus on this issue. I did try everything and it didn’t work. Here’s a screenshot of how I put the ajax widget. Maybe I did it wrong. I’m not sure.

I will see what Siteground has to say about it too. thanks again.

    Hi @soniamcangel,

    Thanks for sharing further details.

I did have some time to focus on this issue. I did try everything and it didn’t work. Here’s a screenshot of how I put the ajax widget. Maybe I did it wrong. I’m not sure.

Unfortunately, you didn’t add the widget correctly. To properly add a widget in the no-cache Ajax, you need to place it inside.

However, at the moment, this plugin gives you the option to add content or a widget such as text or shortcode.

To delve deeper into this issue, you can either create a shortcode or use an additional plugin that provides a shortcode to display the recently viewed product. Then, you’ll need to insert that shortcode into the Ajax widget.

I will see what Siteground has to say about it too. thanks again.

That sounds like a plan. They might can provide a solution to exclude a specific widget.

I wish I could help more, but hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get the job done.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
