Rechaptcha stoppped working

    After the WP system updated to 5.5.3–nl_NL (found in activity log) rechaptcha was not working anymore. A large number of users were added by a bot (timing of the entries + I don’t believe any of my users would use the screen name “date-renee-and-maureen-www-umm2-mystrikingly-com”)
    After I corrected the rechaptcha in the Pie Register settings it stopped.

    I do not know if more users have seen the same thing happening. If so it would be good to check this for future updates of WP.

    Hi,

    We appreciate you reporting it to us.

    Although, we did not face a similar issue while updating wordpress on our environment.

    Could you please explain what you mean by correcting the recaptcha, so we could understand if it was a compatibility issue.

    Rechaptcha settings seemed to be off on the registration page. I visited the settings page and then the edited the registration page again. now it seems to work ok again.
    This does not look like a helpful answer to me but I can’t replicate it anymore.

    Hi,

    Maybe it was a WP System update conflict issue.

    Could you please tell us the Pie Register Version you’re using and from which WP System version you updated from to WP System 5.5.3.

    We will try to replicate the issue, and if we found any then we will fix and release it in the next update

    Pie R: 3.6.2
    WP update most likely from 5.5.2 because the site updates minor updates automatic.
