    Hi,

I created two separate pages for registration and login using the login register form addon of the Essential Addons plugin, and added reCAPTCHA3 to it. However, when I log in from a problematic IP address with a low score to test how this page is displayed to the user with reCAPTCHA3, the user is shown a message that they did not pass the reCAPTCHA challenge and cannot register or log in, but no reCAPTCHA challenge is displayed to the user to confirm their humanity. There was no problem with reCAPTCHA2, but this problem exists with reCAPTCHA3.

Also, previously, the reCAPTCHA settings for login and registration were not displayed in the Elementor style section, but suddenly and after a lot of fiddling, these settings appeared on the style page. In general, the Essential Addons plugin was not easy to use for creating a login and registration page, and it wasted a lot of my time due to the various problems and bugs it had. I am using the latest versions of Elementor and Astra theme, and I have tested other plugins installed in my website and there was no interference.

I would appreciate it if you could provide a solution to the problem of not showing the reCAPTCHA3 challenge.

    Hello there

I hope you are doing well.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with reCAPTCHA3 on your login and registration pages. Based on your description, it seems that the reCAPTCHA3 challenge is not being displayed to the user, even though they are being informed that they did not pass the challenge.

reCAPTCHA v3 works in the background and doesn’t require a CAPTCHA widget to work. If reCAPTCHA v3 is working correctly on the front end of your site, a small reCAPTCHA badge should appear at the bottom right of each page.

    Here is the screencast: https://d.pr/v/Z1JRhF

reCAPTCHA v3 runs adaptive risk analysis in the background to alert you of suspicious traffic while letting your human users enjoy a frictionless experience on your site. reCAPTCHA v3 works by assigning a score to each interaction on your website. This score is based on a number of factors, including the user’s IP address, the user’s browser fingerprint, and the user’s behavior on your website. If the score is high, then reCAPTCHA v3 will assume that the interaction is from a bot. If the score is low, then reCAPTCHA v3 will assume that the interaction is from a human.

ReCAPTCHA v2 requires challenges, or the user needs to click the “I’m not a robot” checkbox, and it can serve the user with an image recognition challenge.

I am sorry we can’t help you with how reCAPTCHA works, as it’s handled by Google itself.

Regarding your second query, I am sorry I didn’t quite understand what you mean by “reCAPTCHA settings don’t display on the Elementor style section”, as we don’t have any styling options for reCAPTCHA. I have checked the rest of the settings and didn’t face any problems. See the screencast here: https://d.pr/v/E8Wl8j

Please share your screen recording so that I can understand it correctly and give you a proper solution.

    Thank You

Yes, that’s right, reCAPTCHA v3 doesn’t require a CAPTCHA widget, but as far as I know, this is only true as long as a user is not suspicious. When a user uses a suspicious IP address, has a problematic browser, or behaves in a way that scores below the threshold, they need to solve a CAPTCHA challenge, which should be displayed below the password button. I used the Tor browser to deliberately score low on the CAPTCHA so that it would identify me as a suspicious user and display the CAPTCHA widget in version 3. But this doesn’t happen, and the widget from the essential addons plugin says that I didn’t solve the CAPTCHA and I can’t register. The video is available at this link:https://file.io/pHa0abDGY58R

In regard to my second question, I was referring to these two settings fields in the Elementor style section that were not displaying for a long time. However, they are now displaying and we can move on:https://file.io/cUFNowiECSCg

    Hello @hassanmm

I understand your concern. But the Essential Addons login widget only uses the Google recaptcha API to show it. As I previously mentioned, Google handles the recaptcha functions, so it’s not in our hands how it will work.

If I understand it correctly, when a low-scoring website visits your website, you want to show suspicious users, but in the widget, it’s showing an “I didn’t solve the CAPTCHA and I can’t register” error.
The video you have shared regarding that has been deleted.See the screenshot here: https://d.pr/i/TPKofg

So can you please check that, confirm my understanding, and share the video again?

Regarding your second query, I am glad that you can now see those two settings. If you are facing “edit with elementor” loading issue, you can check this doc here: https://wpdeveloper.com/troubleshoot-preview-loading-error-elementor/

    Hello @hassanmm?

As I already mentioned, the issue you are facing is not because of Essential Addons widgets.

    reCaptcha v3:
It shouldn’t show a recaptcha challenge after failing the first attempt (low score).

    From Stack overflow:
The idea is no user friction, and displaying a captcha runs contrary to that.
Giving the users a second chance by presenting them graphical captcha challenges defeats the purpose of using Recaptcha v3

    Google says:
They are excited to introduce reCAPTCHA v3, which helps you detect abusive traffic on your website without any user friction.

Low-scoring users shouldn’t be allowed to login to the website; it functions under the control of Google itself.
If you really want to allow low-scoring users, then you can try to use the?reCaptcha v2?challenge.

    Thank You

Okay, I understand. I have two suggestions for the Essential Addons login and registration widgets that I hope will be added in future updates. The first is the ability for site developers to set the reCAPTCHA3 score for users, similar to what is available in Elementor: https://ibb.co/WgB5Mdj

The second is to implement the ability to add privacy and terms text inside the widget under the password field to remove the reCAPTCHA3branding in the bottom right corner of the page: https://ibb.co/RpmJLfh

Thank you for your follow-up and support.

And one security feature that I don’t see in the Register l login widget is honeypot, which I think is an important security feature and I hope it will be added in the next updates.
