    Hi,

I’m designing a single post page in Elementor to be used as a template for recipes. I’m using the recipe card block and I use Advanced Custom Fields. When I place the ACF’s above the recipe card block they show up on the front-end, when I place the ACF under the recipe card block, they disappear.

In the link you’ll see “TIP VAN” it should say “TIP VAN KEVIN” and underneath a line of text who doesn’t show up.

See a short video for the problem: https://www.loom.com/share/2ef40751ae3f41a4a63754c9c7c6158b

I’ve had contact with the support guys from Elementor, and they said the problem is caused by the Recipe Card Block plugin, and that they don’t support 3rd party plugins…

I already removed cache, switched all plugins on and off, switched theme etc etc, but nothing works. Before buying the PRO version I’d like to have this work properly.

    Best,

    Kevin de Vries

    Hi Kevin,

We’re trying to replicate this issue on our end, but we need more details from you.

From your video, it’s unclear how you added the AFC values to appear in the Author Box widget in Elementor. Are you using a shortcode or a specific widget?

I also noticed that you registered your AFC fields in the Recipe post. What if you try to register them to regular blog posts? I believe those custom fields are somehow lost as they are tied to the Custom Post Type Recipe, while you’re trying to have them shown in a regular blog post.

It also seems that other values like “Tip van Kevin” are shown fine, so maybe this happens with fields that use WYSIWYG editor?

    Hi Pavel,

    Thanks for helping me out.

I’ve added the ACF with a text widget into elementor.

I don’t know exactly what you mean with “registered your AFC fields in the Recipe post”. I only create blog posts where I write my Header (name of the blog), intro text, recipe widget and there are also my custom fields.

Is this the right way to use the recipe widget and custom fields?

Please let me know before buying the PRO version ??

    Best Kevin
