Recipes not Displaying

Im using the free version, and from what I understand I should be able to add recipes to any post, but for some reason no recipe is showing up from the dropdown menu, not even the Demo recipe.

I don’t want to use the recipe as a post, the featured Images don’t work correctly and it just works better for our site not doing it that way. Is there a fix for this or am I missing something?
