    It’s free.

I have been hosted happily by https://www.hostrocket.com for 5+ years now. I have had zero problems. I love them to death. They may appear slightly pricer then “free” but I guarantee that the service and quality is there.

I’m hosted by https://www.lunarpages.com for a year. My friend who recommended them to me for longer than that. We run a forum hosted on his site that has been the most stable forum I’ve ever participated in. They’re not free, but I highly recommend the Shuttle Plan for an affordable, very full featured and stable hosting package. Excellent service and support as well as online community. https://www.lunarforums.com

https://www.liquenox.net is cheap and so easy to use.

Almost every host will offer PHP and MySQL these days; check the Wiki for a “Known Good Hosts” list.

That said, if you want really easy WordPress and lots of bandwidth, check out DreamHost (https://www.dreamhost.com). They’ve got a one-click WordPress installer on their control panel. I signed up with them a couple of weeks ago, and by using the promo code 777 (found via Google) I’m getting 800 MB disk space and 120GB monthly bandwidth with shell access for two years for about a hundred bucks. That’s a little over four bucks a month.

I haven’t been with them long enough to have a good sense of their speed or uptime, but they’ve been around since 1997 and they’ve responded promptly to my questions. I can’t say for sure that they’re the best, but they’re worth checking out.

I use a company iHostFree.com They offer PHP and MySQL support and is FREE. This is what they are offering.

    iHostFree Account comes with:
    500 MB (250 Content / 250 Mail)
    20 GB Bandwith
    1 MySQL Database
    PHP,PERL,CGI Support
    Frontpage Support
    Protect Directories
    IbizPanel Account Manager
Did I mention is all FREE

    Enjoy ??

    I use Globat

    They are currently offering 2.5GB storage, 2500 email, 75GB transfer/month for $1.99 /month. It’s normally $7.95

I’d go with Globat also. It’s the only web hosting company I’ve seen that has a hot chick on thier homepage. ??

DO NOT, under any circumstances, use Globat. Their support is miserable, and their servers are always down.

Of the sites I work on, though I don’t use ’em personally, I am most impressed with Site Ground . I haven’t posted a question that wasn’t answered in 5 minutes or had an issue that wasn’t addressed in 15 – that’s just amazing to me. If I decide to stop running my blog off my computer, I’d go there. If anyone has any negative experience with ’em, I’d appreciate hearing about it (but not here).

I decided to go with Dreamhost because of their Ruby on Rails, PHP, one-click WordPress install, and MySQL support…plus with this promotion you get it for only 9 bucks.

    1) Go to Dreamhost
    2) Click on the One-Year Pre-Payment button for the Crazy Domain Insane package
    3) On step 5 of the registration enter 777 into the special promotions box.

I have been hosted happily by https://www.hostrocket.com for 5+ years now. I have had zero problems. I love them to death. They may appear slightly pricer then “free” but I guarantee that the service and quality is there.

Ditto, except I’ve been with them around 3 years.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. ??
