Recommend cache

Can someone recommend a cache that actually works transparently? Like when posts/changes to the site happen the cache does not keep serving the old files. I was using WP-Cache and liked it a lot but it doesn’t seem to do a good job recognizing that a change has happened.

I’m looking for something basic that always works and never needs to have the cache cleared to make it serve any newly changed page(s).
